Nothing could be farther from the truth. All we have and are able to accomplish are gifts bestowed on us. The power of this world, even the facts of nobility of birth, developed culture, possession of riches etc, according to God’s judgement, mean little or nothing. They do not serve, in the final analysis, the goal of obtaining eternal salvation.
