The author of Apocalypse describes the eschatological judgement in terms of vintage and harvest. The one seated on a white cloud, like the Son of Man, is obviously Christ, the Lord of the Universe and of History. He himself will also be our eschatological judge. For His life and teachings are the norms of judgement. Everything shall be evaluated and judged in relationship with Him. We can, therefore, know in advance the judgement we shall be handed out.
