Cats are stubborn. Rocko is sitting in my spot. He knows I sit here. He refused to get up when poked and prodded, hoping Ill just sit beside him. When I gave up being nice and pretended to sit on him, he protested most pathetically. I continued, unapologetic, applying extra butt-pressure, slowly until he realized his plight and began crawling away, still mewling in complaint. Now he sits on my lap, purring loudly. Until I attempt to pet him. Then he is fierce and grouchy, gnawing at my palm until I resume letting him rest on my lap in spite.
