Caught on Video: Heart-Stopping Moment When Two Planes Almost Collide Courtesy: Barcelona-El Prat Intl Barcelona Airport almost witnessed a disaster of biblical proportions. A UTair airliner on its way from Moscow almost collided with a plane from Argentina that was taxiing down the runway. As can be seen in the nail biting video of the incident, the UTair airliner coming in to land. However, at the same time, the plane from Argentina was readying for its take off and can be seen crossing the same runway. Disaster was averted when the quick thinking UTair pilot initiated a go-around procedure instead. Its chilling to see the two planes inch close to one another; you almost want to scream abort landing, abort landing at the screen like you see in movies. But just in the nick of time, the oncoming plane soars towards the sky again. You can see the plane wobble in the air for just a few seconds until it steadies itself, thank God. The plane eventually gets a safe landing while the Argentinian plane takes off for Buenos Aires. Take a look at the whole incident:
