Celebrate Small Business Week with SBA Free Events They are touring the country, rolling through Seattle, Dallas, St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. all in one week. They’re going hard (and have been for 50 years now)—for you and your benefit. They are the U.S. Small Business Association, and from June 17 to June 21, they’re hosting free educational events in cities from the West to East Coast—and online—as part of Small Business Week. So, happy National Small Business Week to you and your companies! This celebration of sorts recognizes America’s entrepreneurs and small-business owners and the contributions they have made, especially the impact they have on building small businesses, creating jobs, driving innovation and making our country a key player in global competitions. If you want to launch a company or have already, find out how to make yours grow and discover what it takes to succeed. The events are jam-packed with educational activities, from small-business forums to business coaching services to networking opportunities. Don’t live in any of the host cities? Don’t fret! You don’t have to be there to learn something—attend the daily online forums, which will be live-streamed on SBA.gov/NSBW. Find a list of the events available through live-streaming and on location at SBA.gov/NSBW/events-schedule. There are also online-exclusive events where you can “hang out” with other entrepreneurs looking to participate in Small Business Week to learn a thing or two. Check out the week’s educational hangouts: Google+ Hangouts happen at 4 p.m. Eastern Time: Wednesday: “How a Mentor Can Help Your Business” Thursday: “How to Get a Loan for Your Business” Friday: “How to Get a Loan for Your Business” There are even more events happening around the country to honor the small-business community. Constant Contact, a marketing solutions company that helps small businesses engage with their customers, for example, is celebrating Small Business Week with free local marketing seminars. Now, go get ‘em, whether it’s on site or virtually, and help your small business reach success.
