Celebrate the rain. Rejoice the winter. A beautiful metaphor for life that I love to use.. the change of weather and seasons. It teaches us equanimity. When we try to control things beyond ourselves – our environment, the people around us, even our own emotions sometimes – life feels like a struggle, full of effort. When we embrace the rain, the traffic, the attitudes, our own solemnity, and recognize that nature embodies flux, and that everything is transient and temporary, arising & passing away, ebbing & flowing, we are absolutely free. The only stronghold is our own point of observation, our perspective. This is the only thing that is within our choosing, and paradoxically it creates our attraction point that shapes the world around us.. its quite possible that it can transform rain into sun, but it will probably only come when we learn & practice to accept and enjoy the rain. Everything in nature happens for a beneficial purpose.
