Celebrating 10 Years since Admission to the Bar... I want to celebrate my journey as a lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. I got admitted to the Bar 10 years ago in 2004 after serving pupillage at Mohammed and Muigai Advocates having graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (2nd Upper) from the University of Nairobi... There are many things to say about a legal career and many jokes about lawyers. I enjoy all the English, maxims, latin and splitting of hairs! I have found my law degree a great asset in confronting life and its challenges... My legal career has been most interesting and I have had many memorable moments and great enjoyable times... I have gone far and wide in our Country (I have been to Kiwayu Island in Lamu on a speedboat to take clients testimony!) I have traveled within Africa and beyond... I now serve in Parliament having been elected in Nyeri as Wakili Nyokabi (yaani sio Nyokabi tu!) On the election day some of my older mothers in Nyeri were saying tunachagua judge! After 10 years I am eligible to serve as a Judge.... I am happy to be a learned friend and I do celebrate all lawyers wherever they are, may we enjoy our law days and the call to the bar.... literally!
