Celebrating another big day. Not sure where the time went, but 17 years ago today I married my soul mate. The vows went something like this...to love and to honor, in sickness and in health, to willingly accept Gods children, till death do us part. Yep... nailed it!! Its been quite a ride. This past year has tested her strength. The wheels in my life began to spin off in February of last year and as of yet, I still havent really recovered. With my life in what seems like shambles, one thing remains..... the love in this house. Constant change is inevitable and pain, be it physical or emotional is part of it. It has been easy for me to lose my way this past year given whats happened, but the household has stayed the course. I may not feel all of lifes happiness right now, but I know something has to give soon enough. If any of you who read this post have been married less than 17 years, believe me when I tell you. NOTHING should ever be taken for granted. Stay true to each other. Best advice I can give you.... always and without fail... COMMUNICATE. Take a day just to yourselves. I know with children its hard and maybe I am just incredibly lucky to be childless every Friday, but take time for just the 2 of you and nurture that relationship. Remember what it was like when you first met. Happy Anniversary to my beautiful bride, mother of my children, and best friend Jennifer Abramis. Id be lost without you.
