Celebration We all have experienced the celebration of a birthday, a wedding, our own or someone else. People love parties, festivals and the joy of celebrating a special occasion. Have you experience and or observed the excitement, the anticipation and expectation we have prior to the special gathering? This is the season we honor the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We need to know and remind ourselves that Jesus Christ is more than Christmas! We are to celebrate the birth of Christ, know the reason why God became a human being on earth, but like the disciples in Scriptures, we must all anticipate the return of Jesus Christ to earth. Mark 13:35-37 You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!” Father God, we thank You for the birth of a Risen Savior, “Jesus Christ”. We acknowledge His birth, His death and His resurrection. Father God, as we spend time in this waiting place, we look forward with great joy to the celebration of Jesus birth and to the day when he comes again. Amen.
