Celebration on India’s 68th Independence Day To celebrate India’s 68th Independence Day on 15th of August 2014, a flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at India House, Villagatan 13-A (2nd floor), 114 32 Stockholm along with a few other programmes from 09:00 hrs to 10:30 hrs. Ambassador of India will unfurl the Indian tricolour, followed by the webcast of the Presidents address delivered on the eve of the Independence Day. This will be followed by singing of some patriotic songs and light refreshments. If you or someone you know would like to contribute to the singing of patriotic songs (preferably by young children), please send a request to [email protected] latest by 31st of July. The format of the programme will be as under: 09:00 hrs - Arrival of Guests 09:10 hrs - Flag-Hoisting by Ambassador of India to Sweden & Latvia 09:15 hrs - Singing of National Anthem 09:20 hrs - Honble Presidents Speech 09:35 hrs – Ambassador’s remarks 09:45 hrs - Singing of Patriotic Songs 10:00 hrs - Refreshments All Indian nationals, PIO/OCI card holders, and friends of India are cordially invited on this occasion.
