Central NC received a heavy soaking as the slow-moving cold front moved eastward yesterday. You can see the 4+ inches of heavy rain as the large red/orange block on the HMT-SEPS image from the Clayton vertical profiler -- and an incredibly obvious wind shift on the back edge ushering in the cooler, drier air as the cold front officially passed and the rain stopped.
