Centre for Democracy and Development Podcast Africa in 50 years The narrative of Africa in the past years has changed from that of a doomed Continent to that of African Rising with positive economic growth recorded in most of its countries. What are the factors driving this growth and particularly how inclusive has the growth been? The incursion of China into Africa is it a win, win situation, another form of colonization or contributing to deindustrialization and underdevelopment as enunciated by Governor of the Central Bank of Nigerian, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Against the aforementioned, The African Union in partnership with the African Governance Institute organized the “African 2063” conference in Abuja to discuss the future of Africa 50 years from now with very ambitious plans and benchmarks for custom union, free trade zone, common market etc. In this Edition of the CDD Podcast, Dr. Jibrin Ibrahim spoke to Prof. Adebayo Olukoshi, Director African Institute for Economic Development and Planning, Dakar Senegal on African Future and Economic Growth.
