Certified fakes are not specific to any one grading company. Case - TopicsExpress

Certified fakes are not specific to any one grading company. Case in point: here is an example of a CGC slab which has had the book, the label or both swapped. How? Simple. With all the loose parts from people cracking out comics for pressing, you have evidence of tampering from a hard outer case with signs of distressed plastic (frosted white appearance) on the outer edges, near each post. The early generation inner wells did not seal the label, and the sonic sealed seams can be pulled apart rather effortlessly. When combined, a crafty individual, with the dilemma of sending slab parts to a landfill or pulling a scam, decides to try the scam instead. If you are ever unsure, especially when it involves large sums of money, post here and ask for an opinion cc: Joseph Yglesias, Brian Jaye, Steve Borock boards.collectors-society/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8241332#Post8241332
