Chad Fallout: BBOG Group To Write President Déby, UN, AU By Ejike Ejike — Dec 5, 2014 Following the inability of the Chadian ambassador to Nigeria, Issa Brahim, to respond to some of the questions posed to him by the #BringBackOurGirls group on Wednesday, the group has revealed that it will write the Chadian president directly, while the United Nations, African Union (AU) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will also be copied. In a submission made by the chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea-Abana, the Chadian ambassador claims not to be aware of what is happening in Nigeria. “There is every need for the group to step up their protest by sending the questions left unanswered to President Idriss Déby while all the other international and regional bodies are copied.” he stated. Recall that Ambassador Brahim had told the #BBOG group to count his country out of the abduction of over 200 Chibok school girls and the insecurity currently rocking Nigeria. While the Ambassador was queried on the alleged report of the botched cease fire deal and the recent report about one Mr Mahamat Bichara Gnoti, a close associate of the Chadian President; as was reported by Sahara Reportaers to be in possession of 19 SAM2 missiles, which he allegedly purchased from the Sudanese army for Boko Haram terrorists. The ambassador had noted that he only read about them on the pages of newspaper just like every other persons. He however maintained that the Chadian government has nothing to do with Boko Haram as the country is part of the meeting held in Nigeria and other parts of Africa, where solution on how to tackle Boko Haram were agreed upon. Ambassador Brahim had also stated that, unlike Nigeria, the Republic of Chad has no fear for Boko Haram because their ways of practising Islam is different from the way it is practised in Nigeria. leadership.ng/news/393037/chad-fallout-bbog-group-write-president-deby-un-au
