Chairborne Rangers and Open Carry Texas It is likely a matter - TopicsExpress

Chairborne Rangers and Open Carry Texas It is likely a matter of time before the Open Carry Texas herd starts using guns to block illegal aliens, or some other provocation. It is clear that their desires are not about protecting the 2nd Amendment, but about attention. By combining their faux fight over the 2nd Amendment with pretending to protect the borders, they can garner even more attention, and sympathy from otherwise good citizens who are not paying attention to what is actually happening. Open Carry Texas is to 2nd Amendment as Westboro Baptist Church is to Christianity. The leader of OCT, CJ Grisham, recently bragged to ABC about killing seven people in Iraq. At times when people call Grisham out on his stolen valor, he is apt to blame his foul behavior on PTSD. Years ago, he bragged on a radio program that PTSD was his get out of jail free card. I published the transcript. Before Grisham used touchy items such as PTSD and the 2nd Amendment as his causes, it was school uniforms in Alabama. He made a big fuss in Alabama over the uniforms. A few minutes of web searching will show that he did in Alabama with school uniforms as he is doing in Texas with guns -- only now he has more practice. In Alabama when he frightened school board members and they talked about a restraining order, he threatened legal action, raised a legal fund, and never used it. He kept it. He did this also in Texas but with the gun issue. In Alabama, he blamed PTSD for his poor behavior, and people actually bought it. Yet again, Grisham is to PTSD and veterans (he is an active duty Army soldier), as Westboro Baptist Church is to Christianity. Grisham intentionally plays into all the worst stereotypes -- the stereotypes that cause employers to shy away from veterans -- and wraps it as a crusade to help vets. Soldiers Angels even used him as a fund raising source. Soldiers Angels paid a heavy price, and finally dropped him. Milbloggers who once supported him have all been crushed. He claims to be a veteran of the Afghan war. Truth: he deployed to Afghanistan and was sent home early during 2011 complaining about mental issues and PTSD. He never left base and saw no combat. After all my time in the wars, Grisham is the only service member I ever called a coward. Message to OCT and Grisham supporters: You are being suckered. Standing next to Grisham is standing next to a lightning rod. The result can be life altering. You might as well join the Westboro Baptist Church.
