ChairmanFred Hampton Jr. is a living legacy and his life story deserves nothing but respect and recognition. His profound use of words motivates the community and leaves a very powerful and inspiring reminisce that continues to resonate with me as well as many other activist out here today. A few years ago, at the 4th anniversary of the Celebration for life for Oscar Grant, I was blessed to film Chairman’s talk with the people and later include it in a music video I directed entitled “Here and Now” by Ras Ceylon “We cannot afford the luxury to set trip!
