Chamber High School Sports ReCap: RHS - BHS: Ridge High School - Girls Volleyball: Kelsey Tam finished with 26 assists and Stephanie Occhiogrosso posted 14 kills to lead Ridge, No. 16 in the State Top 20, over No. 5 North Hunterdon, 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA/Star-Ledger/Parisi Speed School Group 4 state tournament in Annadale. Tori Lai added 15 digs for Ridge, which will face No. 13 Hillsborough in the semifinals on Thursday. Girls Soccer: Shannon Keefe and Julia Lindsey had a goal apiece to lead Ridge, No. 5 in the State Top 20, to a 2-0 victory over Watchung Hills in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 semifinals in Basking Ridge. Second-seeded Ridge will face top-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood for the sectional title on Friday. Ridge got its first goal in the seventh minute when Keefe banged a 35-yard shot over the keepers head after a pass from Chrissy Weyrauch. The team wasted little time in adding to its lead after Lindsey converted on a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box in the 15th minute. The defense held sixth-seeded Watchung Hills to three shots on goal, which were saved by Samantha Carney. Bernards High School - Girls Soccer: Madison advanced in penalty kicks past Bernards after the two teams played to a 0-0 tie in the semifinal round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 tournament in Madison. Madison moves on to face the winner of Hanover Park/Morris Tech in the sectional final. Madison won the shootout, 3-2. Kristina Qualben made six saves in the victory.
