Change is like the skin peeling off of a snake. It is slow. It is sticky. And sometimes you have to rub against a hard place to pull yourself through it. But in the end, you realize that it was worth it all to get the new place and new person you have become.” - Stella Payton Yes, in as much as it must be painful to have a face change of the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2016 presidential election, it is a necessary pain that we have to go through, in order to overcome a third electoral defeat as we have still not come to terms with being handed down two consecutive defeats with same face. Change for now is a painful necessity the great NPP must go through. For some time now, “infighting” within the great NPP has come about as a result of factionalism, which have seen regular feature in the print and electronic media, which again is clearly as a result of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Alan Kyeremanteng’s long standing interest to lead the NPP as well as the role their respective camp or followers play, regarding who remains the best to contest on the ticket of the great NPP in their opinion. But let us also take into consideration, the fact that, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has contested and lost twice on the ticket of the party for which much lesson must be taken and make changes to bring a new formidable face, a new face and voice of hope to unify the great NPP towards victory 2016. If we have changed almost the entire face of our National executives, because it is believed the old National officers were not able to do their bit to win us power, then it also falls on us again to change the old face of the NPP flagbearer to holistically achieve our purpose in achieving power. The twice defeated face of the great NPP must be changed. This is the time to change for power. The NPP must not be run on outright emotion and the love for one particular individual. The NPP as a political party is not run on emotions and human worshiping but through the provisions as enshrined in the partys constitution. The framers of the constitution in their wisdom provided provisions to this effect and we must ascribe to it until otherwise amended. No one is wasting time here. That is the democratic tenets we ascribe to as a political party. We are in a simple but healthy internal democratic competition to choose a flagbearer for our great party. If you have to allude anything to “time wasting” and “selfish interest”, then you best direct it to the right quarters because some are coming for the third and fourth time without giving us the needed results, what do you say to that as well? “Time wasting”, “Selfish interest” or for the love of the NPP and Ghana? Let’s engage in a healthy campaign, while we look forward to a healthy internal family democratic competition to choose a flagbearer for the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary election. We need a new formidable face to reckon with, thus a new face and voice of hope to unify the great NPP towards victory 2016. A new face for all inclusive, neutral and unifying leadership style that is devoid of vindictiveness; that is participatory and that is exceptionally non-discriminatory. I stand for change. Change is eminent now, we must change for unity and power. We must change for a purposeful leadership. Rise up with me if you stand for change to win power. NPP, this is our time. This is Hon. Francis Addai-Nimohs time to win us power. He is number three (3) on the ballot paper for the Mini/Special Congress. Dear delegate, your vote counts. #IAmForAddaiNimoh #FAN16PP #ChangeIsEminentNowp #ChangeForVotingAppeal #ChangeForUnityAndPower #ChangeForPurposefulLeadership
