After years of hard work, I am now an international Para-Athlete representing India. There are 70 million people with disabilities in India. For the first time in Indian history, people with disabilities would have had a chance to get equal opportunities to work and live if the Disabilities Rights Bill had been passed. the Bill was to be passed in the winter session of the Parliament. But the Parliament session ended abruptly on 18th December, just before the Bill was tabled. I started this petition on Change.org, telling the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kamal Nath to live up to the promise the Government has made to this community. We want him to ensure that the Parliament will be reconvened in February for a few days and the Disabilities Bill be taken up by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for enactment. It will take them just one day to change the lives of millions of people. The Ministers need to know that thousands of people across India are watching them. 70 million differently abled people need your support.
