Changes in local traffic patterns on Country Club Road Road remains closed to thru traffic until Early 2015 Country Club Road eastbound lane from Willow Creek to Columbine Street will be added to the ongoing Phase II closure. This closure will be effective Monday, November 10 through Thursday, November 27. This change in traffic pattern is being made to expedite the complete reconstruction of the roadway. The extended closure will only impact local traffic. The following detours remain in place for thru traffic: • Westbound thru traffic detour:Take I-10 westbound or Doniphan Drive to Artcraft Road. Follow Artcraft to McNutt Road. • Eastbound thru traffic detour:Follow McNutt Road southbound to Sunland Park Drive or Doniphan Drive. ABOUT THE PROJECT When its completed, this project will improve traffic flow on Country Club Road by adding a center two-way left turn lane, adding a traffic circle at Memory Lane, and adding right turn lanes at Montoya Road. Another reason this project needs to be done now is to accommodate the replacement of gas, water, and sewer utilities. Work will be completed by February 2015.
