Day 8: I am Thankful for my grandparents. They showed me so much about life. To me my grandparents were the Norman Rockwell grandparents. From camping at Alum Creek and fishing at lake Erie to making things at grandpas work shop in the basement. I think I love Christmas so much because of them. I remember the live Christmas tree in the livingroom that had all their friends gifts and what they received and then the tree in the basement that had all the familys gifts. Christmas day their would be presents overflowing from under the tree for around 15 people. I would help put up Christmas lights on the house. I remember sitting in the car with grandpa as grandma would run in the grocery store for just one thing and we would be there for an hour. I remember riding in the back of the station wagon with my cousins. I love my grandparents and thank them daily for a great childhood.
