Changing the Attitude to Live an Effortless Life:- It is a common belief in this world that nothing can be achieved without struggle. So if one wants to be at peace, just become a master of the self and in the process get rid of all hardships without any struggle. The big question that emerges here is: “Can there be a life without struggle?” In order to live a life without struggle, first we must stop trying to control everything around us. The only entity that we can control is ourselves. If one isnt in control of one’s self, then other people will take the opportunity to take over. Recognizing that there is nothing we can control outside of ourselves allows us to let go and flow with life. Secondly we must stop trying to compete with the world. Striving to keep up with others only adds stress to our life, making it devoid of happiness. One who is internally strong has no need to prove anything to anyone. We must also stop constantly complaining and criticizing. Learning to see the glass half full is an art we need to cultivate in ourselves. If one follows the right method, it would then be a simple task to be at peace without any kind of struggle. The key is to learn the lessons in life and move on. Success means many wonderful, positive things. It means personal prosperity, a fine home, vacations, travel, new things, financial security and giving our children maximum advantages. Success means winning admiration, being looked up to by people in our business and social life. It means freedom: from worries, fears, frustrations and failures. It means self-respect, continually finding more happiness and satisfaction from life. It means winning. Some of the most practical success-building wisdom is found in the Biblical quotation stating that faith can move mountains. Believe, really believe, I can move a mountain. Not many people believe that they can move mountains. The belief, “I am positive, I can”, generates the power, skill and energy needed to do. When we believe ‘I can do it’, the ‘how to do it’ develops. The ‘how to do it’ always comes to the person who believes he can do it. Our mind is a ‘thought factory’. It is a busy factory, producing thoughts all the time. And the production in our thought factory is under the charge of two gravitational energies. One is “Triumph” and the other “Defeat”. The Triumph, is in charge of manufacturing positive thoughts. It specializes in producing reasons why we can, why we are qualified, why we will. But “Defeat”, produces negative and depressive thoughts. It is our expert in developing reasons why we can’t, why we are weak, why we are inadequate. Both are very obedient. All we need to do to signal either of them is to give the slightest mental beck-and-call. If the signal is positive, “Triumph”, will step forward and go to work. But a negative signal brings “Defeat” forward. Therefore, the wise thing to do is to fire “Defeat”. We don’t need it around telling us that we can’t. Attitude defines life and life defines attitude. The quality of one’s life depends on the quality of one’s emotions and feelings. If anyone is habitually perturbed, indifferent and reluctant to invite new things, change cannot be expected. But if one creates interest in changing one’s way of thinking, one’s life will surely change to the extent of efforts one puts in. Our mind is equipped with ‘two entities’—one full of positive thoughts and the other with negative thoughts. They fight each other and the winner decides the direction of life. There is no magic wand to change negative feelings, emotions and thoughts overnight but continuous effort to change the negative thoughts can bring a change in life. A regular dose of optimistic motivations and inspiring thoughts would slowly bring change in one’s life. One needs to disallow negative feelings and tendencies.
