Channel 4 Sports just featured a brief video of Maurice Mad Dog Vachon who passed away today in Omaha at age 84. Those were the fun days of professional wrestling... when it was still real! Oh, would it be great to go back to those days when the Sodbuster Kenny Jay won about once each year and the characters were all childhood heroes. I grew up playing little league baseball against Buck Zumhofe, who followed his dream to wrestle and has since spent much time in prison. Ive also gotten to know Jim Raschke (Baron Von Raschke) through our polka services. He was actually a math teacher in the Lake City area, and we visited a couple of times when we played in Lake City. ALL GOOD STUFF... and part of my life as a musician!
