It was only then that Nyala saw him. He was standing at the end of the seventh staircase, and watching Nyala below him. “I was beginning to wonder if you might even arrive,” he said and began to climb down the golden steps. He was wearing a gown of white and gold, along which were etched strange alphabets in silver, like those that were on the tower, and on the ring. His hair was long, wavy, and golden, and hung behind him at about his shoulders length, while his eyes were the colour of honey, deep and gold, and sparkled as the light caught them. On his head lay a crown of gold embellished with golden yellow sapphires that danced with every step he took. His gaze was so powerful that Nyala could not take his eyes away from him. Every time he climbed a step closer to Nyala, the pace of his heart seemed to increase.
