Character Least Discussed -- From my heart to yours -- PRAYER refines the character of the local church. Otherwise, its useless to God. Having said that, God always surprises us when only one person in the local church gets serious with Him and prays. The best thing these days that a local church can do is: PRAY; and thats for many reasons, but heres a few : 1. If Prayer was a measure of many a local churchs standard of spiritual living, that church is not only below the poverty level, but its in crisis mode. The sad part is that that churchs spiritual stomach looks fat and pudgy, full of contaminants, and essential nutrients. 2. Lack of real praying in the local church has invited the world to join, instead of being a deterrent to the world. The NT church was known for being a praying church, nothing else. 3. Jesus said, My house is called the house of prayer, not of preaching or music, not a hospital inviting the sick but there are no doctors nor medicine. 4. Prayer is something that the world cannot do driven by passion and love, but by fear and shame, refusing to repent. 5. Prayer, not notable persons, was what brought the world to Jesus Christ.
