Charles O. Sievert(1939 - 2013) Charles O. Sievert, 74, of Pittsburg, passed away at 11:51 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg. He was born February 23, 1939, at Pittsburg, KS, to Clarence and Estella (Hoots) Sievert. He attended local schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School. Mr. Sievert served in the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1960. He was united in marriage to Marilynn Davis, on August 22, 1959 at Pittsburg. She survives of Medicalodge of Pittsburg. Mr. Sievert was a foreman for the Boilermakers Local 83 in Kansas City, Mo. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Leo Sievert and his wife, Shay of Pittsburg, two daughters, Sherry Cirillo of Girard, KS, and Tina Kirkpatrick and her husband, Steve of Girard, KS, 6 grandchildren, Terri, Holly, Tommy, Jordan, Austin, and Zach, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Peanuts. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bill Sievert and two sisters, Fern Vasquez and Anna Franklin. A memorial service is set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Countryside Christian Church, with minister Andrew Stout conducting the service. Burial will be at a later date at the Highland Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Angels Among Us.
