Charts C/C++ Server-Side Developer Job (New York, NY, USA): Job Requisition Number:41058 The Role: The Bloomberg Charts and Technical Analysis product is used by hundreds of thousands of financial professionals worldwide to make decisions. Our next-generation Charts unlock market data and deliver analytics that give our clients unprecedented advantages. The Charts product spans a wide gamut of functionality including real-time pricing data, historical trend analysis, statistical models, technical analysis tools and much more. The Charts Data Services team is looking for a C/C++ Server-Side Developer. A suitable candidate will be passionate about building high performance backend systems capable of processing millions of requests a day for data and analytics. The candidate will enjoy working cross-functionally and with different R&D teams in the company to design and implement solutions that improve the applications offered to our clients. The candidate will also understand business needs and translate these into effective designs, project plans and technical implementations. Some of the projects include building systems that aggregate data across various sources to provide a simple abstraction for application teams and developing a framework to alert customers when events or conditions of their interest occur. Qualifications: - 3+ years of development experience with C++ and C on UNIX. - Experience with a .NET/Windows Server Environment is a plus - Experience with financial domain applications is a plus - Excellent time management and prioritization skills. - Strong communicator with ability to coordinate and follow-up aggressively. - Ability to reach consensus and build effective working relationships. - Proven ability to deliver business value.
