• Chary Quits MCX Board to Comply with Age Norms MUMBAI Venkat Chary, chairman of MCX and an independent director, has stepped down from the board to comply with an FMC norm that stipulates an age limit of 70 years for an independent director, the company said in a filing with BSE. The bourse has not announced the successor of Chary. Five other directors, in cluding Lamon Rutten, non-executive director, have resigned. Rutten, who lives abroad, has quit the bourse because of “preoccupation”. Al so, to comply with FMC norms on Settlement Guarantee Fund, the bourse has earmarked . 232.39 crore as initial SGF. The bourse had an SGF of around . 1.9 crore at the end of FY12.
