Cheap jag VS Expensive jag. Ill be Expensive jag 10-20 dollar range. Reasons to buy over cheap jags More durable cloth doesnt just fall off after a few squid or a ferocious cuttly. Most cheap jags have hooks just glued into tail section expensive have stainless steel wire running through whole body to the eyelet not falling out in a hurry. The jag is sharper and stays sharper when the cheap ones go a bit dull after a few uses. Better and more colors, patterns because even though squid cant define colours they see in greyscale and because of theyre good eyesight can get turned on by different shades of grey. Then u have ones with rattles which have proven to create attention from fish a squid alike. When the squid are on you could catch them on a potato but in hard times when they are finicky ul just say not many out there but if you had used a better jag the u may have got ya bag limit. Ive been out on my boat a number of times and outfished all 3 of mates using cheap jags with my YoZuri sometimes you just gotta pay the cost to be the boss I tell them!!!! They have better swimming and sinking action where megadollars has gone into scientific research of squid behaviours to work out wat makes them tick. I dont know if youve noticed but Japans a bit more technogically advanced then the rest of the world and Ill give u the hot tip so are their squid jags. If ya like ya cheapies stick with them watever makes you feel good but know one day you may see the light and go buy a decent jag and see its benefits some of you may not. Go................!
