I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/29/2013 from NY 11231, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. MOST RECENT MEDICAL INFORMATION AND WEIGHT 09/30/2013 Exam Type RE-EXAM - Medical Rating is 2 NC - MINOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 54.4 LBS. Kennel reports that while dog was struggling to be placed in cage (severely aggressive) that they noted blood in mouth. Did not attempt to take dog out due to previous history. WEB MEMO No Web Memo 10/02/2013 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION - NH ONLY Exam Type BEHAVIOR Helper Dog: A0979915 Notes: Bongo was difficult to take out his kennel. He growls and barks when approached and bites the leash/rope. He did allow the handler to take him out, but in the assessment room he is extremely stiff and fearful and does not allow the Assessor to collar him. Due to this behavior only resource and dog to dog items were completed. He was stiff and cannot be pushed out of the food bowl, but did not growl, snap or bite and was not interested in toys or rawhides. Bongo approaches the helper dog, body is tense, ears erect, high tail wag. Food: 3. Dog gulps food, begins to eat faster and with bigger bites, body stiff. He does not lift head when hand is applied to cheek. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 3 Dog approaches the helper dog, body is tense, tail well above spine level, ears forward. 09/29/2013 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM Medical rating was 2 NC - MINOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, behavior rating was NONE Scan negative. ACO is unable to put in cage by rabies pole. Struggling, Biting. Called Dr. Demmerle- sedated with 0.4 cc telazol im. Intact male. Mild tartar & gingivitis. Limited exam.
