Check out 10 minutes of #StarCitizens First Person Shooter reveal The record holding title for crowd-funding, sitting above $58 million as we speak, Star Citizen, got to show off its first person shooter gameplay mechanics to eager fans at PAX Australia today. The 10 minute video shows a ship docking onto a derelict base in the stars, where 4 friends suit up to scavenge the base for supplies. Upon their arrival, they learn that there is a rival faction onboard the base as well, and then things heat up. Cloud Imperium Games have informed fans that this is all pre-alpha work, with mo-cap animations still to be added, and advise fans not to take what they see as the final product. What looks awesome though, is their use of zero gravity, allowing for tense gun battles to take place while floating and pushing your body in different directions. It sounds pretty awesome to us! Star Citizen sounds like the most ambitious, amazing game, and although the game doesnt have a concrete release date, it should be expected to make contact some time in 2016. It certainly has the financial backing, lets hope it changes the landscape of gaming in the future.
