Whether you are flipping through the pages of the Kansas City Star, or tuning into your favorite sports talk radio stations, the underlying tone and message of most debates are moral victories. The Royals made a run at the World Series, and the Chiefs exceeded just about everyone’s expectations. That is factual, and can’t be debated. In the case of the Boys in Blue, their season is one that will probably be remembered and talked about by most of us for decades. It was a fun and unbelievable ride, but so what? In the end, didn’t they fail? Sure, they were one clutch hit from winning it all.
