Brookstone School and our sister school, Ricks Institute, in Liberia have enjoyed a dedicated partnership for many years. This relationship has included student and faculty trips to Liberia, hosting students and faculty from Ricks Institute and sending containers with school supplies and relief items. Regrettably, the Ebola crisis in Liberia and much of West Africa will not allow us to send shoeboxes to Ricks Institute this year, as Ricks Institute and all schools in Liberia are closed and a date to reopen has not been set. In lieu of our annual shoebox effort for Ricks Institute, we would like to offer the following opportunities for families to show their support and help the people of Liberia. Medical Glove Drive Protective suits and medical gloves are desperately needed in Liberia for medical aid workers. We will partner with MAP International out of Brunswick, GA to send medical gloves to Liberia. Click here for more information on MAP.
