Check out this interesting event https://facebook/UFGHCC Anybody considering a career in global health, you should check it out Mission The purpose of the UF Global Health Case Competition (GHCC) is to bring together students from multiple disciplines and provide them with the opportunity to tackle current and critical global health issues in a collaborative and competitive environment. Modeled after Emory Universitys Global Health Case Competition, this competition seeks to promote interdisciplinary approaches to solving real-life issues, simulating future workplace settings. This competition is free and open to all UF students. Students sign up individually and will be assigned to a team composed of students of diverse academic backgrounds. Teams will receive a case packet that includes details about a particular country (or countries) and a health issue that countries is facing. Students will need to analyze the issue to determine their recommended solutions to the problem. There may also be complicating factors that will come into play, such as legal factors, political factors, and cultural factors. Students will have more than 48 hours to create a 15-minute presentation that will be scored by faculty judges. Our aim is to hold this event annually and to send a University of Florida team to Emory Universitys reputable International Global Health Case Competition.
