Check the video. I went with a drummer friend and talked to the authorities in the city (In grand Central Station) a few years back about proper permit for playing the subway. They have an audition process and qualify musicians to do what this guy is doing. The police we talked to aside from that told us that they let musicians play without a permit as long as they are good and people generally like them. They said we look the other way if they are good and play good music. What do you think? I know he didnt pay licensing fees to labels to play these songs.. well I assume that.. which he could get fined for.
