Check your most recent natural gas invoice – you should find some reductions in the overall cost of your gas due to The Commerce Commission enforced reductions in transmission and distribution charges. If you haven’t received information from your retailer outlining these reductions, we recommend that you contact your supplier and request confirmation of when this price change is expected. These are third party costs that suppliers on-charge to their customers so be mindful of avoiding the ‘petrol price syndrome’ where price reductions appear to filter through to the end-user far slower than increases!
