Checked bees today. Removed the upper brood box to check the lower brood box. The upper brood box is capped with honey and weights approximately 60 pounds or more. Bad news is that we can not harvest the honey this year because my bees need it for winter food. Next year will be a whole different story. The lower brood box is thriving with lot of capped brood. Our queen is very busy making lots of babies. If our bees make it through winter, we should have a nice honey harvest. Yum, can not wait. Can you say Pigeon Lake Farm Honey!
