Checking this out... Isochronic tones are tones that pulse very quickly, turning on and off rhythmically. The entrainment frequency is produced very simply by turning the desired tone on and off repeatedly. Isochronic tones don’t require the use of headphones, although their effect may be more pronounced with headphones because of lack of external stimuli “polluting” the on/off pulse of the tone. Experts generally agree that isochronic tones may be more effective at creating entrainment than either monaural or binaural beats. Unlike binaural beats, isochronic tones can be listened to over open speakers using or whole-body listening. This is called Cymatics. The brain does not perceive sound only through the ears. Have you ever been in a situation where you felt a beat in your whole body, like at a rock concert? Even deaf people can ‘hear’ sounds as vibrations in their bodies rather than in the ears. The brain and the body both perceive (‘hear’) consistent external stimuli. Isochronic tones are a relatively new technology as opposed to binaural beats and monaural beats, which have been around for over a century. You may get a deeper level of entrainment with isochronic tones than with binaural beats alone because of the whole-body entrainment. Are isochronic tones safe? Yes. Brain entrainment is not brainwashing! The brain has a natural tendency to entrain to any persistent tone. The tones affect the electrochemical activity in the brain just as naturally as you would become relaxed when listening to soft, continuous drumbeats. This affects your mood and your state of consciousness – brainwave entrainment does not imprint any thoughts or ideas into your mind and there are no harmful physical effects. What you do while you are in a particular state of consciousness is up to you! Isochronic tones can safely be used to promote relaxation, meditation, and even restful sleep. Brainwave entrainment has also been used to treat ADHD and various personality disorders, but its main purpose is to promote relaxation and deep meditation. Many people feel an extremely deep sense of calm when they listen to entrainment tracks that include isochronic tones, because they feel the beat in their bodies – this is much like a baby being lulled to sleep by its mother’s heartbeat.
