Cheers to Kevin and Welcome to Everisto! Most of you know Kevin. He has been the go-to person for the Christian Alliance for Children in Zambia for 7 years. The past few months hes been serving as our communications coordinator. Now, he and his wife and son are leaving Africa to go to Calvin College in Michigan. We will greatly miss Kevin and all that he added to the children and families we touch. We have found a wonderful young man—Everisto Mulenga—to replace Kevin in the field. He will go along with the Milk & Medicine crew each month to document in pictures and stories what happens in the various compounds. He will visit and get to know not only the families we work with but the nurses and caregivers of the children as well. He will also take over the Communications responsibilities by taking pictures and writing stories of the people who are being helped by Milk & Medicine so all of us can keep in touch with the children we help. And wouldn’t you know it…his passion and schooling is in journalism! Everisto has worked with CACZ for over 5 years first as a driver, then as assistant to the principle of Helen DeVos Christian High School, and now as our liaison in the field.
