Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to offer striker Romelu Lukaku - TopicsExpress

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to offer striker Romelu Lukaku a new £120,000-a-week deal to stay with the club, according to The Sun. If reports are to be believed, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has lined up the Belgian forward as a potential replacement for Edin Dzeko, who looks set to depart The Etihad in the up coming market. However, it now appears that Mourinho wants to keep the forward at Stamford Bridge, despite recent reports having suggested that the Blues boss was ready to let the striker leave the club. Lukaku has enjoyed a fine season at Everton - scoring 13 league goals - and has played a key role in helping the Toffees challenge for the Champions League qualification places. But now the striker could be the subject of a summer bid from Premier League giants Manchester City, who could make a bid of around £30 million in order to secure his services. It remains to be seen as to whether Manchester City step up their interest in the Chelsea forward in the coming months, but it appears that Lukakus long term future is far from certain. The striker has impressed many throughout the last couple of years, but he could still be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in the summer window.
