Chelsea have reportedly made a late move to try and hijack Real - TopicsExpress

Chelsea have reportedly made a late move to try and hijack Real Madrid’s deal for Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos – after matching their £19.9million offer. Madrid are expecting to complete the signing of Germany international Kroos after the World Cup, having had their offer accepted for the player this week. However, AS says that Chelsea have now matched their £19.9million (€25million) bid, and Jose Mourinho will now try and tempt the player to Stamford Bridge. As reported last month, the Blues have already promised Kroos a giant £125,000-a-week deal, and believe that plus a lucrative bonus offer could tempt the player. The 24-year-old, who was previously a target for Manchester United, has made no secret of his love for English football and despite leaving it late, Chelsea believe they could still grab the play-maker.
