Chennai Super Kings are likely to have a new skipper for the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 7) with MS Dhoni offering to quit captaincy following controversies around the franchise. According to The Times of India report today, Dhoni is extremely disappointed and annoyed by reports of his name being dragged into spot-fixing allegations. As of now, it has not been accepted but two parties are still in discussion and it may happen very soon, the newspaper quoted a source as saying. Dhoni felt that the recent developments have spoilt his image. That is why he wants to quit from both the posts, the source added. Dhoni has also decided to resign as Vice-President of India Cements. CSK is owned by India Cements. BCCI President N Srinivasan is the Managing Director of India Cements. Dhoni, who is currently leading the Indian team in Bangladesh at the ICC World Twenty20 has already had discussions with Srinivasan.
