Chess club Hi guys The chess club is back on this Wednesday 5th March. We will be starting at the normal time 11.30am -12.30 am at Downham library, 7-9 moorside road, Downham, kent, br1 5ep, we will be in the meeting room 1st floor. The library has other activities you can do while waiting, it has a coffee shop, a gym, swimming pool. You can also do your shopping at co-op, or if you have little one you can entertain them with a book. Downham library has ample parking spaces if you cant find parking in the library you can park in the co-operative car park, the limit on both sites they are limited to two hours Nearest train station is grove park, which is a fifteen minute walk from the station onto Downham way which is opposite the co-operative supermarket on moorside road. Busses 136 which can take you from Peckham, catford and lewisham, the 181which also comes from catford and Sydenham bell green and lewisham, you can also take the 208 which comes from Orpington, Bromley and biggin hill which you can change to get the 136 up to Downham, also from lewisham and catford if you are coming from the other way. The charge is £6.50 per child. This is a term time activity only as Richard really enjoys his deserved rest. We will be flexible in how to pay as we acknowledge some people may not be able to pay the whole term. But we do expect if your children does enjoy it and wants to play on a regular basis, we would like commitment. To those who can do it on a every other week basis that will be fine but as noted we would expect commitment if you are doing this. All intermediate or just a starter are welcomed. Also girls, its not only a boys game. Sam could do with some girls in the class.
