Chicago Family -North Center - with two older school age children seeks full time nanny manager, to begin as soon as possible. Monday through Friday, forty hours plus per week; hours will vary slightly according to the familys schedule. Flexibility is key to the position; an occasional overnight may be needed. $20+/hour; very flexible for the right person plus benefits. Client is highly focused on finding the right applicant, and compensation is flexible for an ideal candidate. Two weeks paid vacation, paid holidays, and personal/sick days. Two children; both are in middle school, and busy with sports after school. As nanny will be assisting children with homework, a college degree is required. Nanny should be friendly, outgoing, an full of energy. Nanny should be organized and able to kindly put appropriate boundaries into place. He/she should be able to provide support and guidance for older children. Previous experience with older children, and knowing how to handle preteen/teen behavior is a must. Morning begins at 7:30; nanny will prepare help with breakfast and lunch preparation and take children to school. Once children are in school, nanny should be available throughout the day to fulfill responsibilities such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, meeting home maintenance or repair people; bringing in mail. Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. A car is provided for on the job responsibilities. Nanny will pick children up from school between 3:15 and 4:15 depending on the day, and take them to tutoring and/or activities. Parking is available for the nannys car. A key component of the position is meal preparation. Nanny should be comfortable planning and preparing health, family friendly meals. Nanny will be expected to organize and keep the family calendar, and coordinate if there are any conflicts. Familiarity with a Google calendar is a must. Nanny needs to coordinate all weekend activities with family members, including family members outside of the immediate household. Family has two cats; applicant should like cats and not be allergic.
