Chicken Pastry. Not at all a low carb meal. But good for an occasional comfort meal. Boil chicken (I used three bnls, sknls thighs) in chicken broth for about 30 minutes. Remove chicken to cool so you can shred it. Turn the broth up to a rapid boil and add Annes Old Fashioned Flat Dumplings (frozen section of grocery store, flat box of flat pastry strips). Add frozen pastry, about a half a box for a family of four. Keep up the rapid boil until youve added all the pastry then turn it down to a simmer. I thicken it w. cornstarch and milk. Add chicken & salt n pepper. Then just turn it off (because it retains so much heat w the lid on) until dinner. The pastry softens and the broth thickens. You can add soup veggies during the cx boiling process and they will soften by the time youre ready to eat.
