Chicken thieves get burnt to death in uganda. But in the same country there are men who steal tens of billions of taxpayer money with impunity yet get away with it. This case reminds one of Jamwa handing over a massive profit to crane bank three days to maturity and causing loss to NSSF. He went to jail for that albeit briefly. Basajabalaba, his lawyers and the MD of UBC should all go to jail. All the lawyers in this case who were willing to append their signature to fraud in exchange for a cut of 35 billion in stolen money should really be disciplined in an ideal world for bringing isrepute yo their profession! The very sober and vigilant justices of the supreme court cannot be commended enough for refusing to be used as rubberstamps and witnesses to illegality on order to legitimise fraud? Why is UBC happy to hand over 11 billion to bassajja in interest when the court of appeal says they do not have to? If this were china the solution would have been swift ... one bullet to the back of the head for traitors to the revolution! But this is not china. In uganda traitors to the revolution are feted and celebrated and have the keys to state house! Which of course begs the question ... was there ever an NRM revolution? For it appears to me that in animal farm, one looks to the pigs ... and to the masters, and then to the pigs and sees no difference! Uganda is a captured state in which impunity rules! #and get this .... the thief wants the right to select the panel of judges on the bench of the supreme court!
