Chief Mark Miranda, Lt. Jason Malloy, Sgt. Tony Garbarino, and Officer Barry Macy took the Officer Down Memorial Page Cold Water Challenge on Friday afternoon, with the help of the Newport Fire Department. Several members of the Lincoln City Police Department have been called out to take the Challenge. Special thanks to Officer Thomas Lekas for assisting in coordinating Fridays event, and inadvertently taking the Challenge for a second time as he poured ice water on Chief Miranda.
