Chiefs vs. Seahawks Preview Well Chiefs fans, this is one of the most important games of the year. The Chiefs can prove to the doubters that they can beat Super-Bowl caliber teams like the Seattle Seahawks, if they play good hard-nosed football. An important part of this game will be the Chiefs defensive line. They need to stop Marshawn Lynch, who is one of the best backs in the league and force Russell Wilson to throw it. The Chiefs secondary proved they can play, as they held the Bills in the fourth quarter. The defense of Kansas City will have to light up the Seahawks offense. On offense the Chiefs will have to move the ball against a great defense. Seattle ranks 8th in passing defense giving up 227.2 yards per game and 4th in rushing defense giving up an average of 79.8 yards per game. Kansas City is ranked 30th in the passing game with 195.6 yards per game, and 5th in the rushing game with 135.8 yards per game. The Chiefs have proved they can rush the ball vs. top run defenses like New York, Buffalo, and Miami. The passing game needs to get going and get first downs. That will open up the running game if Alex Smith can get the ball downfield. Travis Kelce and Dwayne Bowe need to have good games and beat that talented Seattle secondary. Defensively the Chiefs will have to stop Seattles run game which ranks first in the NFL with 170.9 yards per game. The Seahawks rank 31st in the NFL in the passing game on offense with 194.4 yards per game, so theyre not so dangerous in the air. Kansas City ranks 1st in passing defense allowing only 205.3 yards per game, and rank 20th in rushing defense allowing an average of 115.6 yards per game. The front of Kansas Citys defense will have to play spectacular and stop Marshawn Lynch from picking up first downs. Justin Houston and Tamba Hali will have to apply the pressure on Wilson when he drops back to pass. The secondary will have to stay ready for when they do pass and be smart in coverage. If the Chiefs play smart and control the ball on offense, they will prove to the world that they can be a legit contender and compete for a Super-Bowl come February. This game is huge for them tomorrow. The game will be broadcasted on Fox-KRBK at 12:00 p.m.. #GoChiefs
