Child sacrifice is well known in many if not most ancient - TopicsExpress

Child sacrifice is well known in many if not most ancient religions--Abraham accepted it as his duty to Yahweh to sacrifice his first born son Isaac and was ready (if perhaps not eager) to do exactly that--until something changed his mind--what was it that changed his mind? Not his conscience in the modern sense of the word, but some sign, vision or an instruction he conveniently attributed to his self-conceptualized deity--telling him not to proceed with the child sacrifice. It may have been callous, but in the context of his day and age--it was perfectly normal to manipulate ones own contracted awareness to assign some of our thoughts or idea or visions to some deity or demon--both were personifications of some flow of energies (elohim is the oluralis maiestatis of el--which means power, force or energy. Today we use the word ELectrical current--ELektron was the ancient Greek word for amber, which, when rubbed would produce STATIC EL-ECTRICITY. Does all of this mean anything at all? Not necessarily, it is whatyou decide to make of it. I suggest we all find the most functional way of looking in clearly dysfunctional present at our human traditions (overleveringen, or hand me downs) in order to ensure that we have a more functional future-- or any future at all--on this third rock from Sol.
