Childhood is filled up with the affection of parents and siblings, toys, ice creams, chocolates, friends, vacations, fun, joy and happiness. But unfortunately the year of 2014 didn’t end up like this for children from all over the world. Precisely for children, it was a year of horrifying killings and deadly attacks.In fact, it was a year when children felt that they are growing up in a dangerous environment instead of growing up without any worries about what is going to happen next. The world isn’t safe anymore for children as seen through the numerous incidents which happened in 2014. The world got plagued from airstrikes against ISIS, polio and Ebola outbreaks, kidnappings and massacres of children in schools of Nigeria and Pakistan, violent killings in Africa, Ukraine, Sudan, Syria, Iraq and Palestine. More than fifteen million children were caught in these conflicts,whileanother two hundred and thirtymillion are currently being affected because of living in these areas. In the end, these incidents are forgotten after lighting a candle and a two minutes silence.
